How to get

By plane:

The nearest airports are Malaga (AGP) and Jerez de la Frontera (XRY). Malaga is about 160km northwest of Tarifa and has good connection both by car and by bus.

Jerez de la Frontera is about 113km northeast of Tarifa and has good road connections, although traveling by public transport you have to change buses in Cádiz or in Algeciras.

By car:

From Malaga:

Leave the Malaga airport in the direction of Cádiz. From the fast road take the exit that indicates ALGECIRAS / CÁDIZ. From here they go by the N340 that is incorporated in the A7. Once on the A7, you can choose between the "normal" A7 motorway or the AP7 motorway. The AP7 is faster, but toll.

Once in Algeciras, keep straight, following the TARIFA sign. Leaving Algeciras they are automatically incorporated into the N340 that arrives at Tarifa. Take the first exit to Tarifa and continue straight until the traffic lights. Here turn to the RIGHT joining in the street BATALLA DEL SALADO. Turn now the SECOND street to the right to the street ANTONIO MAURA. From there you can see our Hostel.

From Jerez:

Leave the Jerez airport in the direction of Cádiz. They are on the A4 that borders the city of Jerez. Always stay in Cádiz direction until you leave the Jerez area. When they arrive at the polygon Tres Caminos, shortly after Puerto Real and shortly before San Fernando, it ends at A4. Here you must choose the A48 in the direction of ALGECIRAS (from here DO NOT follow further in the direction of Cádiz!). Continue on the A48, which when you pass through Vejer de la Frontera, will automatically become the N340 that reaches Tarifa. They take the first entrance to Tarifa and continue straight on the main street, BATALLA DEL SALADO. There is a yellow sign on this street indicating the street where they should turn, (counting from the gas station would be the ninth street to the LEFT), just at the corner where the real estate TARIFACASAS. They are already in the street ANTONIO MAURA from where they can see our Hostel.

With public transport:

Due to changes in schedules, we regret not being able to give more detailed information here. For concrete consultations and connections with other cities we will be happy to help you.

Algeciras: Between Tarifa and Algeciras there is a large number of buses a day, usually every 90 minutes. The duration of the journey is between 30 and 45 minutes. The company that operates is COMES

Malaga: Between Malaga and Tarifa there are several buses a day. The duration of the journey is between 2 hours and a half and 4 hours, depending on the bus. There are many more buses between Algeciras and Málaga, and some of them go directly to the Malaga airport. The companies that operate are COMES Y PORTILLO.

Jerez de la Frontera: The connection with Jerez is somewhat more difficult, there is only one bus a day on the route "La Linea de la Concepcion" to "Sevilla" which stops at Tarifa and Jerez on the same route. This bus would be with COMES, but there is the possibility of making a detour to Cádiz or Algeciras, and change there from Bus.

Tarifa-Algeciras: COMES

Algeciras-Jerez: LINESUR

By boat (from Morocco):

Tarifa is connected to Tangier every hour by ferry companies. The journey takes about an hour.

The port of Tarifa is right next to the old town, in front of the "Alameda" square where the tourist office is also located.

With strong wind or very bad weather conditions, it can sometimes happen that the port of Tarifa closes. In this case the closest ferry connection is Algeciras.
